There are 2 scheduled daily flights from O.R. Tambo International Airport (ORTIA) in Johannesburg to Eastgate Airport. Aircraft used are De Havilland Dash which carries 50 passengers.

For guests who would like to drive from Johannesburg to Kapama, the road journey takes about 4 and a half hours following a north easterly route.
Take either the N12 or the N4 highways from Johannesburg to Witbank and Middelburg then turn onto the R540 going to Belfast, Dullstroom and Lydenburg.
For a great halfway stop, picturesque Dullstroom is set on the highveld and is ideal. This quaint village is famous for its trout fishing and "old-world" atmosphere.From Lydenburg continue on the R36 to Orighstad then through the Strydom Tunnel to Hoedspruit. This is a scenic drive through Mpumalanga and has beautiful landscapes and unforgettable views. At the Strydom Tunnel guests can browse along the various stalls which sell ethnic curios from this region.
At Hoedspruit, take the R40 to Klaserie.
For Kapama Lodge: Continue on the R40 and turn left at the Eastgate Airport turning and drive on for 15km (9 miles). At the Guernsey turn-off, go right and continue on the gravel road for another 10km (6 miles). Kapama Lodge's entrance will be on the left.
For Kapama River Lodge and Buffalo Camp: Continue on the R40 until the entrance on the left-hand side is reached.
